Solid Oak & Copper riveted Plant Stand (tall)

An ingenious tall Solid Oak & Copper riveted Plant Stand that doubles up as an occasional table or a stylish candle stand.

A versatile design that is a subtle & functional addition to any space: living room, dining room, conservatory, garden room, or even the garden.

This design is inspired by Peter’s background in traditional shipbuilding techniques. The oak is jointed using an age-old ship building method of cold riveting 10mm copper rod, lending this piece a fantastic architectural and contemporary feel. Over time, the oak and copper settle nicely with each other (not the case with every metal). The symmetrical gap between the machined oak sections adds to the sculptural feel of this fine article.

To preserve the glorious colour combination of oak and copper, this item is finished with four professionally applied coats of Liberon’s Tung Oil.

As an add-on we sell exquisite hand-turned Portuguese marble planter bowls (shown) from the Ceramdela mines. 

These come in two sizes (14"x6" or 16"x9") and two finishes (dusky creamy white with pink-brown & grey markings, or dramatic grey with white & black markings).
