Oak & Glass design: inspired by the ocean
One of our bespoke concept designs, this exquisite design is inspired by Peter’s seafaring days and the lively character of the ocean. By its sculptural presence and craftsmanship detail this solid English Oak & glass Coffee Table lends an elegance to interior spaces.
The glass top is recessed into the flowing wave-shaped oak ends, secured with natural leather washers that are fixed with chrome dome caps – in keeping with the nautical feel of the piece.
As shown in the photography below, any naturally occurring gaps in the oak has been filled with photoluminescence fillers, which in the dark give a faint impression of glowing aquamarine veins – just like a night-time seascape. The wood is subtly stained with white wax grain, and over-coated with a satin gloss coating for a durable finish.
