'River Glass' Cedar Banquet Table with Benches

An exquisite banquet-sized dining table & benches (seats 16), inspired by the flow of our neighbouring River Severn.  The elegance of the natural edges & beautifully figured Cedar of Lebanon is contrasted with oversized Dovetail jointed legs and feature Butterfly key benches, inset with river glass – a piece to stand the test of time.

This piece was inspired by a local tree here in Gloucestershire, which was planted circa 1860 and felled in 2006. As our workshop is located by the mighty River Severn, we shaped the table in line with the flowing contours of the inset river glass. The table & benches are a natural centre piece for any interior and a delight to the touch. This is truly a design from the heart, which we would be happy to adapt for another space.

This proportionally accurate Cedar of Lebanon wooden banquet table & benches features highly figured timber with exposed natural edges running down the centre of the table & a gap bridged with shaped, toughened safety glass.

These are made by commission and will be tailored to your design specifics. Price shown here is indicative of this commision.

SPECIFICATIONS

Made from 10 year seasoned 150 year old Cedar of Lebanon.

Due to the robust character of the timber, the table and benches have a substantial weight and pleasing feel. The top has been finished with a hard-wearing lacquer and the legs and benches have been oiled to enhance the grain, jointing work and natural edged features.
