A beautiful hand-crafted English Yew coffee table. With molten Pewter poured detailing, Shou Sugi Ban to the edges, and with a wax polish finish.  

The Yew for this coffee tables have come from sustainable forestry operations in Richmond Park where unfortunately this specimen had come to its serviceable life and was deemed unsafe in a public space, hence a threat to life. Since being felled the stock has been set down inside for 6 years and then gently and slowly kiln dried.  So this stump is stable and strong and complete. 

English Yew when cross cut, milled flat and then polished is quite remarkable and with figuring of note. We have added some molten Pewter detailing to some fissures in the top surface. The Shou Sugi Ban process to the edges of this stump adds a moody twist to the intensity of these pieces. 

Substantial in size. Being a solid Yew stump measuring approximately 1'10"-2'10" across the stump surface in a delightful tear drop shape and some 1'8" tall. It weighs plenty. 2 physically fit adults can lift it with care. It would be recommended that we bring and deliver this item for you which we are more than happy to do for a small delivery charge to cover fuel and the trailer etc....

To compliment and showcase the Yew in all its glory we have created a tear dropped piece of toughened glass which merely rests on top. This glass is 15mm thick and measures 130cmx110cm.

This substantial coffee table would look fabulous in the most contemporary or traditional of spaces alike.
